I ran into a decent amount of snow about 6.2 miles after the road turned to
gravel.
I decided to stop and take some pics before going on...

I took some pics and got back in the truck to take off...
Stuck! Yes... I was in 4 wheel drive. I tried HI & LOW 4 wheel and I was going no
where fast.
It was almost funny as I knew my Land Cruiser could make it in 2 wheel drive,
yet my new Chevy
was stuck.

I swear my wife's Honda has made it through deeper snow than this!

After airing the rear tires down and feathering the brakes to get the rear tires
to make
up their mind as to which one was going to spin I got out. Since I only made it
3/4 of the way
up I did not get to see the camps & trail heads. I can only guess that there
will still be snow
when we hit the area again on Memorial Day Weekend.
I suggest bringing extra warm clothing for the nights. The days should be warm.
The snow won't stop us from running the trails... it will only make them a
little more difficult.
If you can... bring an air compressor as we will be airing the tires down to get
the most traction
possible in the snow. I don't think the snow will be that bad by Memorial Day.
It should only be in the shaded
areas and for the most part the rest of the trails should be just mud and or
dirt.
