This year should be pretty cool. My Land Cruiser is pretty much ready to go. I got it ready to wheel the Shoestring back in December but the snow flew before I made it up there so it's pretty much gas'd up and ready to go.

Plans are to camp in the Manastash camp ground this year. The Riders Camp Ground is cool and it's easier for people to find me there but one of the groups I hang out with will be camped closer to the Manastash Camp Ground than Riders.

The All Wheelers Off Road Club out of Yakima is planning on joining me this year. Should be fun!

The Northwest Forest Pass is required.
Do I have to have one of these per rig? I will have the tow rig, trail rig and what rig my wife drives up to meet us.

My understanding is that you need a pass for the vehicles that are "driven" to the camp grounds NOT towed.

You can get them at the Cle Elum Forest Service or at Riders Camp Ground just before the Manastash Camp Ground.

Less snow than last year. Chipmunks appear to look fatter than previous years. Maybe it's extra fur from the nasty winter?

We made it easily to about MP 6 - We could have gone farther but Zaryn and I were in a new to us truck and we hadn't planned for a long day in the woods so we turned around after the 2nd big snow bank. We actually got a little side ways on the road in the middle of the 2nd big snow bank so Zaryn and I aired the tires down which made it much easier to get up to the next clear area and turn around.

Pictures ASAP. My web server is having FTP "issues"

Still not able to upload images like normal so I am manually doing them now.

My son (Zaryn) took this one:

Turn around and this is what the road looked like:

This was about mile post 6 - about 1/2 way up to Riders Camp.

We ended up turning around since we were by our selves and I hadn't yet wheeled this truck so I wasn't sure what it would do yet.
