I saw it on Craigslist... My son & I drove up to Lynnwood to look at it... I did a quick look over and it was obvious the owner maintained it and had done lots of recent work on it... I test drove it down I-5 and back... I made an offer... the owner accepted and even delivered it to me.

The rest of the story has yet to be written! Stay tuned as I tweak this beast into something even cooler than it already is. ;)

I already removed the canopy and sold the utility box.

The truck came with tons of extra interior pieces. I doubt I will use any of them. I have NO idea what pieces fit what. If you need stuff and are willing to make the drive to Snoqualmie I will make you a screaming deal on interior pieces.

UPDATE:
454BBC, SM465, NP205, Dana 60 front with 6" Rough Country springs, ORD extended shackles and Corporate 14B in rear with 4" Rough Country springs and 4" blocks. Follow this thread to see more pics of my truck as I fix it up.

I like it! Cool. :D
We could of used it last Sunday when the 4 of us went to get Rattboy's Scout. It was a little tight in my x-cab.

UPDATE: This was BEFORE I lifted it with the Rough Country springs.

She has lots of room but boy does she drive rough. I drove it to work today and it was interesting. I think my kidney is on the side of I-90 near Issaquah.

I know it's a 1-ton and it's not designed to ride like a Cadillac but wow! You know when you hit a bump. ;)

My 1-ton Super Duty rides MUCH nicer than this bad boy.

Time for new springs and bigger "bouncier" tires. ;)

She does have some go-go power. I damn near ripped the shifter out of the top of the tranny as I kicked in the 4bbl's in 3rd gear. Very powerful engine.

I grew up driving "built" Chevy Big Blocks but it's been a long time since I've drove a "built" one. Now I remember why I have been hanging onto all my Chevy Big Blocks in my garage.

WANTED: I need a tilt column and new doors (as well as several other parts) for this beast.

Let me know if you have any parts that will fit this truck.

Edit: I got more doors than I can use now. In fact: Let me know if you need doors as I have a few extra. Thanks!

Too funny!

I got the title today and it seems my 1982 Chevy K30 is actually a 1982 GMC K35

Guess I will have to research the K35 to see what the difference is.

Finally got the bed and cab all situated. What a night mare! I had to take the bed off and on about 6 times trying to get it right.

It turned out that the bed was fine... the cab was sagging on the drivers side due to rust. I fixed it and now all is good.

I got the tail lights all wired up and the rear bumper it as well.

No matter how hard I tried I could not get the rear bumper to lay flat. It always pointed down at an angle. I even used a high lift jack to point the bumper up in a reverse angle. No go. :(

Image

Next is to mount the front bumper then the lift kit. ;)

I couldn't wait any longer to get a front winch bumper, so I put the old one back on with a NEW push bar and KC lights.

I got to adjust the clutch a little then I can drive it.

I am hoping to get the lift installed in the next few weeks.

Why is it my personal projects ALWAYS take 10X longer than they should?

Here is a pic of my brown and blue crew cabs in the shop 1/2 way through the axle swap and lift kit installation:

I guess you probally dont want to hear that i did my 6 inch lift in 4 hours by myself? I was on a mission and had to get it sdone . Got tired of looking at a 4x4 crew cab on wore out springs. it sat as low as my friends 2wd truck did. Well not so much anymore.
