In February of this year I bought a 4.5" XJ Rough Country lift kit from Ron at www.4wheelingplus.com for my wife's Jeep. He gave me a great deal on it.

It was real easy to put on.

Here is the Tweety Jeep at Ceg Ranch Saturday morning February 3rd, 2007 geting ready for a ride to Scuba's in Sunnyside.

Here are most of the parts for the 4.5 Rough Country lift kit we bought from Ron at www.4wheelingplus.com.

This is what we have now:
89 XJ, 4.0 L, AW4, NP242, 4.5 Rough Country Lift, 3.73s, rear Lock Right, 33 MT/Rs, Colemancooler made front bumper, 12,000 Mile Marker winch (I also bought from www.4wheelingplus.com), home made roof rack, added stock tire rack, 100 KCs and Tweety Bird seat covers. The last part was not my doings. It is the wife's rig so I guess I should let her have a little say on something.

When we put the 4.5 Rough Country Lift on the XJ we never hooked up the front sway bar since this rig is used for off road only. The rear sway bar is on. This 4.5 Rough Country Lift flexes great. The 31's worked well without cutting the body. For the 33x12.50's we had to cut some off the fender wells. We don't seem to have any rubbing problems.

Right on! The wife will like that. I will be coming to you for my next XJ lift for sure. I hope to build a low mileage XJ for me next year. Maybe going long arm not that I have seen why I would need it. With this lift we have kept up with all the others so far. I am told long arms are a better ride. I am glade to hear they are good for something for the extra money they cost.

Anyways thanks. :D

You can do a lot with an XJ on the price range side of things its a cheap way to wheel. One of my first and one of my best off road machines was an XJ. yours looks or your wifes looks good.
