The power steering backing plate for my FJ40. Notice the tubing used for the top bolts of the box, so the frame isn't squeezed when tightening the bolts!

Al fitting my steering plate to my FJ-40. We double checked everything before the welder was fired up!

We used a Chevy 3/4 ton shackle bushing and fish platted the back side for reinforcement

We used a Chevy S-10 shackle

Notice the thickness of the steering box backing plate, and the enlarged hole in core support to clear the end of the steering box

We also boxed in passenger side frame for reinforcement.

One of the bars I had to add to my FJ-40 to stop axle wrap. It's an adjustable tie rod end with a removable end at the housing.
(didn't work, see above for new torque arm pics)
